Hello and welcome. My name is Steph and my husband Tim & I are also parents of 3 children with another on the way. We decided to start SUGARGUM FARM Children’s Party Venue & Pony Rides in August 2006 after seeing the absolute enjoyment that our own children’s friends and their parents experience when they come to visit us and never want to leave. Together , Tim & I felt a genuine need to extend our country hospitality and share our lifestyle for other families that live in the city to experience and take home life long memories with them... SUGARGUM FARM is a private and exclusive 15 acre family owned and operated farm dedicated to Clydedales & Ponies & the Home of Melbourne Equestrian Vaulting. We are set in the beautiful Oakland’s Valley, situated only 25 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, just 5 mins past the Tullamarine Airport. I have had over 30 years experience with horses and now combining this with the very real life experiences of being a mum and my love of horses and of all creatures great and small and the many challenges it presents; has led me to develop my own special way for children to enjoy ponies in a fun, supportive and educational way with safety for the children paramount and welfare of the pony. All my "Horsey" staff are trained in my way to ensure the best experience for all to enjoy. This combination of Horses and Children led me in discovering the little known in Australia, World Cup Sport of Equestrian Vaulting. This very special equestrian sport and the too many benefits to mention here regarding Vaulting, has become our families passion and I am accredited to coach EA NCAS Vaulting Intro.
